More Forrest Gump-like brushes with fame. On the set of "Just Friiends" with Alanis Morrissete. She was up in Canada visiting her fiance Ryan Reynolds, the star of the movie and stopped by the set. Did a quick interview with her. She didn't seem nearly as angry in person as she seems in some of her songs. She was pretty laid back and cool. Guess she's worked everything out. Sweet woman. Way to go Ryan. K, enough of that. ADD YOUR BRUSHES WITH FAME HERE. (only real ones though).

Sweet in a freakish "new age" sort of way?
I too once had a brush with fame. I was at dinner in New York, in a tiny Italian joint called Il Mulino. (Best Italian food in NYC, IMO) Anyhoo, after a few drinks I had to relieve myself. The guy at the next table was blocking my way so I said "Coz, beat it, I gotta piss." Actually, I didn't say that but I did ask Mr. Cosby to move. He obliged. Sweet guy.

OK, I'll add one more since I'm already at Dave's spiffy new site. In a former life I had the opportunity to have lunch with Bill Gates. Long story short: it's no accident that he's the richest dude on the planet. He is--far and away--the most intelligent person I've ever met. (And I've met every major CEO in the country as a former fund manager) He's also an incredible ball buster. Smart + ruthless = billionaire. Scary guy...but in a sweet sort of way.

Can we post resumes here?
My brush with death, wait, you said fame. OK. There was this one time that I followed this one actress. Let's just say I wear a lectric tether.
after witnessing the 1997 UM OSU ballgame chez Draculich headed down to Ann Arbor to participate in the revelry and, with any luck, riot. saw Sam Sword ordering a late-night meatball sub at Bell's.
I howled (likely incoherently, but with fervor nonetheless), "Sammy S Word!" we high-fived. I struggled to maintain my balance then proceeded to dog down molten meatballs, my mind overpowered by the hunger that must be slaked. alcohol's a funny thing.
