A Good Day In Michigan

Watched the Tiger's clich at TGI Friday's in Novi, Michigan. Never been to a TGI Friday's before and maybe never will again, but that one I'll aways remember. Packed house. Families, loners, black, white. Everyone glued to the tube as the Tiger's brought it home. Fantastic stuff.

Cruised over to dad's after for the UM game. They put a beat-on. Penn State was down to the 9th string QB, a kid named "little Billy", who looked like he was sporting a load in his football pants. Who wouldn't? The D this year is INSANE. Crushing, swarming, ugly. But Mario, we need ya. Soak that knee, pal and be ready for OSU. Considering a trip downtown to catch the Lions today, but might get back to work. We shoot tomorrow in LA and Ben (the talent) needs something to say.

One Game Away

Tigs one win from first flag since '84
Kenny Rogers became the first Tigers pitcher ever to make consecutive scoreless playoff starts. As the towel-waving sellout at Comerica Park frequently chanted his first name, Rogers went 7 2/3 innings, allowed two hits (one on the infield), and beat Oakland, 3-0. If it had been any colder, he might have thrown a no-hitter. -- 7:28 pm

The Detroit Tigers are one game away from clinching a spot on the World Series. Dad and I pondered the idea of going tonight or tomorrow but have decided that we're going to take out chances and get tix to the World Series instead. Michigan is unseasonably cold right now, but it's good to be bundled up and powering through the wind. Working on Incue projects at various internet locales, mostly Starbucks on Lahser and Maple and the Border's on Novi Road. Both have piping hot coffee and a lack of loud talkers. I slip on the headphones, fire up some Floyd on iTunes and get to work. At it hard three hours before the California boys, so they have somethin' to read when they walk through the door in Culver City. Photos of the game to follow.

I will be in Michigan

From now until sometime in November. Working on Court TV projects (more on that later) and testing out the new revolution in mobility. Rented out my pad in Venice, so I'm a homeless drifer as of now. Editing and writing from the road, whether it be a Starbucks in Traverse City, my old man's office in Novi, or in a dumpster behind the Red Dog Saloon in Milford, MI. Also will spend time in Harbor Springs with mom and Mackinac Island to keep fired up for the Dock Porter, Anyway, I'm going to keep some sort of journal on that experience right here, so check back for the ups and downs

Remote Control In Hand

11 years old. 2975 Pearson Road, Milford Michigan. This might have been the actual moment I chose television as a career. Special thanks to Brother Scott for snapping this shot.

The Dock Porter

it will ride into town in June on Mackinac Island. Full load. Expect a good tip on this one. It takes balance.
I have no excuse for not posting anything new in months, but I sleep well at night knowing full well nobody is reading anyway. These are the ways I justify my laziness. It works for me.
